The incoming physician would be part of a 60+ physician employment group that is owned and operated by Appalachian Regional Healthcare System (ARHS), a small non-profit health system based in Boone, NC. ARHS currently owns 2 hospital facilities in Boone and Linville, NC; as well as a regional cancer center, a 10-bed inpatient behavioral health center, 112-bed Skilled Nursing/Post Acute Care Center and $18 million health and wellness and physical therapy center.
The incoming NP would be joining Appalachian Regional Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine (AppOrtho), a growing Orthopedic/Sports Medicine Group that is employed by the ARHS and covers 3 counties in NC. He/She would work in a collaborative environment along side a mix Orthopedic Surgeons, Family Med/Sports Physician as well as other NP's. The ideal candidate is someone that can do general orthopedic work with an interest in spine. Orthopedic experience is a plus.
AppOrtho is also the preferred group for the Appalachian State University Athletics Program.
