Summary: The National Engagement Coordinator executes programs and events for key WAKE Communities and manages an extensive network of constituent volunteers. This position also implements alumni programming and communication to increase engagement.
Creates and leads regional engagement strategies for the Midwest and West communities programs, including planning events and messaging strategies by working with the Associate Director, National Engagement.
Coordinates content messaging by audience segment and region.
Manages event logistics including registrations, invitations, surveys and other details.
Identifies and recruits highly qualified volunteers to execute specific needs.
Conducts alumni visits to gain greater understanding of alumni interest, programs, and qualify alumni in terms of potential leadership abilities.
Works with development staff and alumni engagement team members to match interested volunteers with an opportunity that suits their skill set and serves the University.
Coordinates volunteers and manages event logistics for International communities.
Manages and executes high-profile regional events.
Works with ADS team to analyze data with regards to market composition and track alumni participation.
Identifies and develops new programs for the communities each year.
Delivers presentations to regional communities to educate constituents and expand outreach programs.
Travels extensively nationally with one trip per month.
Collaborates with senior administrators and various other offices and constituents to coordinate special Office of Alumni Engagement projects.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Bachelor's degree with 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Detail oriented in coordinating activities and completing assignments.
Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
Proficiency in technical and computer skills including MS Office; Word, Excel, database management, the Internet and other relevant software, plus operation of standard office equipment.
Ability to meet the requirements of the University’s automobile insurance.
